
Gurmat Samagam Organized at Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan Sohana to Celebrate 315th Sirhind Fateh Diwas
SAS Nagar, May 12- A special Gurmat Samagam was organized at the historic Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan in nearby Sohana village to celebrate the 315th Sirhind Fateh Diwas. To mark this occasion, the Bhog of Sri Sehaj Path Sahib Ji was held in the morning, followed by a day-long Gurmat Samagam.
SAS Nagar, May 12- A special Gurmat Samagam was organized at the historic Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan in nearby Sohana village to celebrate the 315th Sirhind Fateh Diwas. To mark this occasion, the Bhog of Sri Sehaj Path Sahib Ji was held in the morning, followed by a day-long Gurmat Samagam.
During this Gurmat Samagam, Bhai Prem Singh’s International Dhadi Jatha narrated in detail to the sangat the episode of Baba Banda Singh Ji Bahadur taking revenge for the martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri Ji by killing Wazir Khan in 1710 CE and conquering Sirhind, leaving no stone unturned.
Bhai Mandeep Singh from Gurdwara Sri Bhamian Sahib connected the sangat with divine bani through his soulful kirtan, striving to connect them with the Guru. Shromani Pracharak Bhai Sukhwinder Singh from Damdami Taksal Sahib, through his sermons, elaborately informed the sangat about Baba Banda Singh Bahadur’s establishment of the Sikh Raj and naming the city Sri Fatehgarh Sahib after Sahibzada Baba Fateh Singh Ji.
Additionally, Bhai Karnvir Singh, Bhai Saroop Singh, Harjas Kirtani Jatha, Bhai Gurdeep Singh, Bhai Mahinder Singh, Bhai Gurwinder Singh, Bhai Kuldeep Singh, the women of Sukhmani Seva Society, Bhai Jaswinder Singh’s jathas, and the hazuri jathas of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan, including Bhai Jaswant Singh, Bhai Gurmeet Singh, Bhai Harbakhsh Singh, and Bhai Inderjit Singh, enthralled the sangat throughout the day with katha-kirtan, kavisri, and Gurmat discourses. All jathas were honored with siropaos. Guru ka Langar was served to the sangat continuously throughout the day.
The spokesperson of the management committee of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan stated that on the upcoming May 14, the 40th anniversary of Baba Balwant Singh, the first head granthi of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan, will be observed with great reverence.
On this day, after the Bhog of Sri Sehaj Path Sahib Ji in the morning, hazuri ragi jathas from Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar, international dhadi jathas, and renowned panthic preachers will enthrall the sangat with Hari Jas. Guru ka Langar will be served continuously throughout the day.
