Patiala, October 19 - A minor girl from Bhadason area has accused her grandmother and aunt of raping her neighbours. After recording the girl's statement, the police have registered a case against her grandmother Charanjit Kaur, aunt Saroj Bala, neighbour Gurvinder Singh and Karanveer Singh.
According to the victim, she lived with her grandmother Charanjit Kaur along with her brother since childhood and aunt Saroj Bala also lives in the family. Her grandmother and aunt always pressured her to have relations with other men, but she refused. When the grandmother and aunt went to work under 'NREGA', in their absence, neighbours Gurvinder Singh and Karanveer Singh used to come home on the pretext of doing electrical work and used to do obscene acts with her.
On October 14, the victim girl's brother, sister and mother were at work, so apart from the grandmother, only the aunt was present at home. At the behest of both, Karanveer Singh came on a bike at around 12 o'clock in the night and started threatening her to come with him. If she did not do so, he said that he would make a video of Gurvinder Singh and make it viral on social media. On the instigation of her grandmother and aunt, Karanveer Singh forcibly took her to a hotel in village Chaswal, where he raped her and then left her in village Ditpur and fled.
SHO of Bhadason police station, Randeep Kumar said that his team is conducting raids in the area to arrest the accused.
