SAS Nagar, May 10 - Mohali Police arrested two drug peddlers in two separate cases and recovered 76 gms of Heroin from their possession. DSP City 2 Mr. Harsimran Singh Bal informed that in the first case, a police team under the supervision of Station House Officer Satnam Singh of Phase-8 Police Station, on the basis of a secret information, arrested Arshdeep Singh, a resident of District Moga, from behind Gurdwara Amb Sahib while he was waiting for a customer.
21 gms of Heroin was recovered from him. Police have registered a case against Arshdeep Singh under sections 21, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act. In another case, a team of Phase-8 police station, based on a tip-off, arrested Vikas Chawla alias Raju, resident of Gidderbaha (presently residing in Kharar), behind Punda Bhawan, when he was on his way to deliver drugs to a customer on a motorcycle.
45 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. Police also seized the motorcycle of the accused. A case has been registered against Vikas Chawla under sections 21, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act.
