Hoshiarpur- In view of the current situation, the district administration under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain has made full preparations to deal with any emergency situation in cities and towns as well as in villages. Presiding over a meeting in this regard today, the Deputy Commissioner said that 150-150 bags of soil have been prepared in each village of the district.
Similarly, response teams have been formed in the villages and as soon as the siren sounds, a blackout will be imposed all over. He said that Thikri Pehras have been started to prevent the arrival of any suspicious person during the blackout in the villages and a drill is also being conducted for civil defense.
The Deputy Commissioner said that during this, the officers designated for essential services were made aware of their duties and given necessary guidelines. These services include headquarters services, warden services, communication services, accident services, fire fighting services, rescue services, welfare services, rescue services, corpse disposal services, depot and transport services, training services, supply services, labor supply services, industry and factory services and debris recovery etc. On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nicas Kumar, Assistant Commissioner (Under Training) Oishi Mandal, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Dr. Amandeep Kaur, SDM Sanjeev Kumar, SDM Parampreet Singh, SDM Gursimranjit Kaur, SP Navneet Kaur Gill, DSP Manpreet Shimar, Civil Surgeon Dr. Pawan Kumar, Civil Defense and officers of various departments were present. Meanwhile, SDMs of other sub-divisions attended the meeting through virtual mode.
