Balbir Singh Saini was the chief guest and Ustad Ghazalgo Surjit Sajan attended the event as the special guest. The event was presided over by the President of the Sirjana Kendra, Kanwar Iqbal Singh, and Ghazalgo Janakpreet Singh Begowal. At the beginning of the event, General Secretary Shahbaz Khan welcomed everyone and gave a brief information about Balbir Singh Saini and conducted a brief poet's court of the poets present.
In this inaugural poet court, Daljit Mehmi, Lali Kartarpuri, Dr. Surinderpal Singh, Comrade Harcharan Singh and Sukhdev Singh Bhatti Ferozpuri gave a literary touch to the atmosphere with their works. In his welcome remarks, the President of the Center, Kanwar Iqbal Singh, formally welcomed everyone and shed light on the literary journey of the chief guest Balbir Singh Saini and informed about his literary achievements. After this, Balbir Singh Saini talked about his literary life, achievements and the history of the beginning of Ghazal. He told the poets present many points about the beautiful art of writing Ghazal. He said that no poet can call his work Ghazal as long as the subject of his work is not meaningful. Referring to the tools of Ghazal, Pingal and Aruz, he said that if there is no verse poetry that fully meets the criteria of theory, it cannot be called Ghazal. After this, the poets present also asked the chief guest some important questions about the creation of Ghazal. Special guest Surjit Sajan, while talking about the nuances of Ghazal, said that a Ghazal poet presents his serious thinking and skill to the reader through his words.
In his words, poet Janakpreet Singh Begowal, who was presiding over the event, also spoke in detail about the rules of Ghazal and Aruz and said that a complete Ghazal can be written only on the basis of Kafiyya, Radif and Bahir, which requires continuous practice and literary knowledge. Principal Harpeet Singh Hundal, while praising the entire event, said that this initiative of the center is commendable that such a workshop has been organized with the help of which poets will further improve their writing skills. Such activities will open new avenues not only for old writers, poets but also for young poets, for which the entire team of Sirkana Kendra deserves congratulations.
Prof. Kulwant Singh Aujla said that intellectuals like Balbir Singh Saini have proved to be a beacon of light for our literary world, and their arrival in Kapurthala district has further increased our pride and happiness. At the end of the event, the administrative team of the Creation Center honored the chief guest Balbir Singh Saini. On this occasion, Senior Vice President Ashu Kumra, Vice President and Finance Secretary Malkit Singh Meet, Avtar Singh Bhandal, Avtar Singh Gill, Prin.
