During a meeting with the officials in this regard, she directed that a monthly plan should be prepared for this and volunteers should be put on duty.

She said that during the Nasha Mukti Yatra also, people should be made aware about this through volunteers. She said that awareness should be spread in this regard by holding public meetings in villages and towns. She said that during this time, through promotional material, they should be taught to identify any object visible in the sky, be it a satellite, plane, drone or any other object.
The Deputy Commissioner said that to curb rumors, the officers were instructed to be more vigilant and strict. He said that some such cases have come to his notice that some mischievous elements are deliberately uploading fake news and false content on social media, which is creating a feeling of insecurity among the citizens, which needs to be strictly and immediately stopped.
He also appealed to the district residents not to believe the baseless and false news being spread through social media or other means and if any information is shared by the district administration or police in public interest, then it should be considered correct. He said that do not share unverified news coming on WhatsApp with anyone, because the police cyber cell is keeping a close watch on those spreading rumors and if any person is found doing so, a police case will be registered against him.
He said that strict compliance of the guidelines and advisory issued by the government from time to time should be ensured. He said that the Hoshiarpur district administration is making its citizens aware to deal with any emergency situation through mock drills and blackouts in all the tehsils of the district, while a civil defense volunteer army has also been prepared, which includes NGOs, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, ex-servicemen, village sarpanches, panches and common citizens, who have been trained.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nikas Kumar, RTA Sanjeev Kumar, GM Industries Arun Kumar, District Commander-cum-Deputy Controller Civil Defense Ravel Singh, Maninder Singh, Davinder Singh, Sunil Kapoor, Pramod Sharma and others were present.
