It is noteworthy that earlier Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had said in this regard that farmers can protest in other ways, but the common people will not be allowed to be harassed by blocking the roads.
In this regard, SSP Mr. Varun Sharma reached Shambhu border. Talking to journalists, he said that Patiala Police has made multi-layer security arrangements by setting up high-tech checkpoints. He said that organizations have the right to protest, but the general public will not be harassed on the pretext of protest.
He said that the National Highway connects two states. Therefore, this highway is of great importance to us. Since Shambhu police station is on the National Highway, no compromise can be made with its security. What is clear is that the general public will not be allowed to be harassed in the name of protest.
