S.A.S. Nagar, May 5- The condition of the main road from Mohali to Chappar Chidi passing through the villages in front of Gurudwara Sahib has become so bad that the people living in the area and the people coming and going are getting troubled day by day. Two big schools are also located on these roads, where a large number of children come in the morning and evening.
People coming to Chandigarh from Kharar also come on this road in large numbers on scooters and vehicles, whose clothes also get spoiled and vehicles also suffer huge damage, because there are potholes on the road. Sector 92 TDI City is also built here, where the residents called Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi here and showed him the spot and told him about their problems.
The Deputy Mayor has appealed to the GMADA officials to resolve these problems immediately and warned that if immediate steps are not taken in this direction, then he will be forced to jam the highway along with the people of the area, for which the entire responsibility will be of the GMADA officials. Mr. Bedi said that this is a rural road and this road connects many residential colonies, where people have built houses by spending crores of rupees.
The maps of the colonies and schools of the area have been verified by GMADA with CLU (Change of Land Use), but unfortunately no attention has been paid to the infrastructure, especially the repair of roads and water drainage facilities. The Deputy Mayor said that now that this area has become an urban area from a rural area, GMADA should take responsibility and get the road repaired immediately.
He warned that if action is not taken soon, then people will be forced to sit on a dharna. On this occasion, TDI Association President Pritam Thakur, General Secretary Dharmendra Manotra, Cashier Sanjay Kumar, Member Harleen Singh Sethi, Sunil Sharma and other area residents were present.
