Chandigarh: May 2: BJP National Executive Member and Senior Leader Harjit Singh Grewal, while reacting to the media's question on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's refusal to give water to Haryana, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party of Punjab always stands with the Punjabis to protect the interests of Punjab.
Punjab does not have extra water to give to anyone. He said that there are devotees of brother Kanhaiya in Punjab, who had given drinking water to everyone and no Punjabi says such a thing.
Grewal said that adjustment of drinking water can be done. If there is a shortage today, then it should be given and when the monsoon comes, it should be taken back. All this is the result of the failure of the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab. The Bhagwant Mann government did not make any preparations beforehand. They have an army of lawyers, advocate general, additional advocate general.
Bhagwant Mann government minister Varinder Goyal is saying that preparations will be done today. He said that this should have been done before the onset of summer. Bhagwant Mann government is again busy only in flattering Kejriwal and Sisodia. Kejriwal and Sisodia are holding meetings, while the Chief Minister of Punjab is Bhagwant Mann.
Will someone control Bhagwant Mann? Will the decision be taken by Kejriwal and Sisodia now? Bhagwant Mann government only knows how to do event management, not work. The work which is done on paper, these people do it only in rhetoric.
Harjit Singh Garewal said that Bhagwant Mann is lying to the public on every front. He is wasting the tax money of the public. Now the people of Punjab will have to think what should be done with those who cannot protect the interests of Punjab?
