Another important step has been taken to give a new direction to the development of Hoshiarpur- Chabbewal assembly constituency. Construction of Mahilpur to Jhanjhowal via Kaharpur link road has started at a cost of about Rs 2.25 crore.
The construction of this road will provide relief to thousands of people, who were demanding better transport facilities for a long time. This 3.72 km long road is now being widened to 18 feet, which will make movement easier and will bring a big improvement in the traffic situation in the area.
MP from Lok Sabha constituency Hoshiarpur, Dr. Rajkumar Chabbewal reached the spot and took stock of the work and said that this link road is not just a construction project, but a strong basis for the social and economic development of the area. This will not only connect the villages to the cities, but will also make it easier to reach the local Gurudwara Shri Shaheed Singh Sahib Ji.
He further said that the construction of this road will not only facilitate the movement of people of nearby villages, but will also bring a big change in their daily lives. He said that modern engineering techniques will be used to make the road durable and safe, so that this road will be safe from the weather and will remain durable for a long time.
Dr. Chabbewal said that through such development works, villages are being connected to the mainstream and in the coming time more projects will be started to strengthen the infrastructure in the area. The villagers welcomed this initiative and thanked the MP and expressed hope that the construction of this road will give new impetus to the development of the area.
