
Deputy Commissioner checked the arrangements of polling stations in Kutlehar
Una, 9 May:- District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal visited various polling stations of Kutlahar assembly constituency on Thursday. He took stock of the arrangements and facilities made for the voters there and gave necessary directions to the concerned officials. During his visit, the District Election Officer inspected the polling stations set up in Government Senior Secondary School Thanakalan and Kuriyala and Government Primary School Busal and Kuriyala.
Una, 9 May:- District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal visited various polling stations of Kutlahar assembly constituency on Thursday. He took stock of the arrangements and facilities made for the voters there and gave necessary directions to the concerned officials. During his visit, the District Election Officer inspected the polling stations set up in Government Senior Secondary School Thanakalan and Kuriyala and Government Primary School Busal and Kuriyala.
He said that for the convenience of the voters, all the minimum basic facilities have been ensured at all the polling stations in the district. All necessary arrangements including shady places, clean drinking water, ramps for disabled voters, wheelchairs and toilets have been made at the polling stations for the convenience of the people. Apart from this, NCC and NSS volunteers will also be deployed at the polling stations to assist the people.
Let us tell you that in view of the elections in Una district, a total of 516 polling stations have been created, out of which 118 polling stations are in Kutlahar assembly constituency. In every constituency in the district, 10 polling centers will be operated by women workers. In this way, there will be a total of 50 polling stations in the district which will be manned by women workers.
There are a total of 4,31,256 voters in the district which include 2,18,224 male voters, 2,13,028 female voters and 4 third gender voters. Of these, there are a total of 86,870 voters in Kutlehar, which includes 43,715 male voters, 43,154 female voters and 1 third gender voter.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner took stock of the progress of the under construction building of Kendriya Vidyalaya Bangana and directed the officials to complete the construction work in a time bound manner.
