Una, 8 April- Wheat procurement process has started at Rampur and Takarla wheat procurement centers of Una district. Wheat procurement process will continue in these mandis till 15 June. Secretary of Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti Una, Bhupendra Singh informed that all the necessary arrangements have been completed for wheat procurement at Rampur and Takarla procurement centers.
Machines have also been repaired for cleaning wheat, but the wheat crop has not been ready yet, due to which the arrival of wheat in the mandis has not started by the State Civil Supplies Corporation.
He informed that this year the minimum support price for wheat procurement has been fixed at Rs 2,425 per quintal. It is mandatory for farmers to register on the portal www.hpappp.nic.in to sell their crop. After booking the token, farmers can sell their wheat in these mandis as per the scheduled time and date. Wheat cleaning facility will be available in the market and after this the quality of the crop will be checked. After quality check, wheat will be purchased from the farmers at the rates fixed by the government. He said that the payment for wheat purchase will be made in the farmer's bank account within 24 to 48 hours.
