Seven-day special NSS camp organized at IK Gujral Punjab Technical University Hoshiarpur.

Hoshiarpur- The NSS department of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University Hoshiarpur organized a seven-day special NSS camp in an unprecedented manner. On the first day of the camp, Dr. Kuldeep Singh and Deepak ji were present as chief guests. They informed the students about the protein-rich food that TB patients should take and said that this disease should be fought bravely. On the second day of the camp, Sub-Inspector Sanjeev Kumar and ASI Jatinder Singh of Hoshiarpur Police informed the students about online fraud.

Third day of NSS special camp:- On the third day, the NSS unit and Red Ribbon Club organized a poster making competition on the topics of environmental awareness and de-addiction campaign under the visionary guidance of Professor YS Brar at IKGPTU Hoshiarpur campus. On the fourth day of the NSS special camp, a special lecture was organized on environment and organic farming.
Mr. Surinder Singh, Director Prakritik Krishi (Anandpur Sahib) and Mr. Surinder Singh Vice President Man and Nature (MAN) Foundation Hoshiarpur delivered lectures on need of organic farming and importance of tree plantation respectively. On the fifth day of the camp, the students of NSS camp visited Godley village and also visited Nara Dam. Lunch (Langar) was prepared at Tharoli village. On Sunday, plantation was done by the students in NSS Camp of IKGPTU Hoshiarpur.
In order to make children aware about environment, plantation drive was jointly conducted by MAN Foundation and Forest Department. During this drive, about 200 saplings were planted by the students. On the 7th day of NSS camp, Dr. Navdeep Singh ji from Civil Hospital Ludhiana gave lecture and practical exercises for first aid to the students.
In the farewell session of the special seven-day camp of NSS at IK Gujral Punjab Technical University Hoshiarpur Campus, Dr. Sandeep Kumari of Civil Drug De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Center gave a speech to the students about the ill effects of drugs. The chief guest at the closing ceremony was IPS Mrs. Ghazal Preet Kaur, ASP Hoshiarpur Police. She motivated the students for the UPSC examination and gave a speech about drugs.
Dr. Kulwinder Singh Parmar, Head of Applied Science Department and President of NSS and Red Ribbon Club also informed the students about other works of NSS. Dr. Sunil Kumar Mahala, Dr. Amit Handa, Dr. Brijesh Bakaria, Engr. Puneet Kumar, Engr. Rajinder Kumar, Khushwinder Kaur, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Dr. Ajaypal Kaur, Dr. Rinku Walia, Dr. Sonu Bala, Dr. Amit Bansal and Kulbir Singh etc. were present on this occasion.
