Hoshiarpur- A special meeting was organized by Punjab State Forum of Retired Diploma Engineers at Hotel Shiraz Regency, Hoshiarpur. Engr. Jaspal Singh along with representatives of all Government/Semi-Government departments, Boards/Corporations and other institutions made excellent arrangements and arranged tea and snacks for all the guests. Tarsem Singh started the meeting in a poetic style and welcomed the State President Engineer.
Daljit Kohli, General Secretary Engr. VK Kapoor, Chief Legal Advisor Engr. Gurvinder Singh Bedi, Senior Vice President Engr. Shamsher Singh Josan, Vice President Engr. Naresh Kumar Sharma, Finance Secretary Engr. Ashwani Kumar Bhatia, Additional Finance Secretary Engr. Kuldeep Singh Boparai, Press Secretary Engr. Gurmel Singh Saini and Publicity Secretary Engr. Avtar Singh Bains were present besides Jalandhar Zone Convenor Engr. Manjit Singh Grover, Finance Secretary Engr. Satnam Singh and Co-convenor Engr. Harmesh Lal Dag, Kanwarjit Singh, Surjit Singh, Ashwani Kumar Pahuja from Amritsar Zone and Co-convenor Engr. Gurmeet Singh and Harjeet Singh were warmly welcomed by garlanding them by the dignitaries of Hoshiarpur Zone. After the welcome speech, Engr. Jaspal Singh and Engr. Darshan Lal spent time by reciting poems in Tarannum.
As representatives of Hoshiarpur Zone, Engr. Agarwal and Engr. SP Sharma mentioned the problems of pensioner colleagues in detail before the members of the State Executive through the platform of the forum. After that Engr. Daljit Singh Kohli State President and Engr. VK Kapoor, General Secretary Engr. Gurvinder Singh Bedi Chief Advisor, Engr. Naresh Kumar Sharma Vice President, Engr.
Shamsher Singh Josan Senior Vice President and Engr. Kuldeep Singh Boparai expressed their views. Engr. VK Kapoor gave detailed information about the need, structure and registration of the Forum as a unit of Ford India and said that out of the 11 zone level Zonal Committees of the Forum, 8 have been formed in Punjab and the remaining three Zonal Committees will also be formed in the near future.
Eng. Daljit Singh Kohli met government officials and political representatives through the Forum and informed them about the steps taken regarding the demands of the pensioners. Eng. Gurvinder Singh Bedi discussed the court cases. Naresh Kumar Sharma in a unique way gave a message to his colleagues to stay connected with the Forum while taking care of their health.
Eng. Shamsher Singh Josan gave a message to the presidium to move forward with a positive attitude and ignore those who oppose the good performance of the Forum. Eng. Kuldeep Singh Boparai gave a message to give special honor to the registered members of the Forum who have crossed the age of 80 years in each zone of the Forum.
VK Kapoor informed about the Zonal Committee of Hoshiarpur Zone that it has been constituted unanimously by all the members of the zone, in which Engr. Jaspal Singh has been appointed as Chief Advisor, Engr. Rajiv Devgan as Convenor, Engr. Darshan Lal and Ram Singh from B&R, Engr. Manjit Sahota and Manjit Saini from Public Health Department, Engr. Anil Sharma and SP Sharma from Irrigation Department, Engr. Baldev Singh and Harjinder Singh from Panchayati Raj, Engr. Gurmukh Singh from Punjab Mandi Board and Engr. Avtar Singh from Tubewell Corporation have been appointed as Co-Convenor and Engineer from B&R for Sub-Zone Mukerian.
Baljit Singh, Engineer, Panchayati Raj, Tanda. Shiv Puran Singh, Engineer, B&R, Nawanshahr. Engineer from Public Health Department for Arjan Dev and Mahilpur. Sukhdev Chand has been appointed as Co-Convenor and Engineer from Irrigation Department. Karamjit Singh has been given the responsibility of Finance Secretary of Hoshiarpur Zone. In front of about 100 members, Engr. VK Kapoor issued the final letterhead after the formation of all zones was completed and said, a proposal was presented to give the post of Chief Patron to the founder president of the forum Engr. Vasudev Sharma, which was accepted by all the members present in the house by raising both hands.
The office bearers of the state executive honored the office bearers of the Zonal Committee with flower garlands and also congratulated and wished them. Apart from many other colleagues retired from every department of Hoshiarpur Zone, Engr. Satpal Jugral, Rajinder Kumar, Kulwant Singh, Sulkhan Singh, Satish Kumar, Mohinder Lal, Dharam Singh, Charan Das, Ashok Nanda, Kewal Krishan, Sukhdev Singh and Raj Kumar participated specially.
Engr. Tarsam Singh conducted the stage brilliantly. In the end, Engr. Didar Singh thanked all the members and organizing team from all over Punjab for their cooperation in Hoshiarpur Zone and before this Engr. Jaspal Singh was appreciated for his excellent leadership by the entire House by clapping continuously for one minute.
