Una, March 18- Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal on Tuesday visited Gram Panchayat Panoh and Ransari of Development Block Una and inspected various development works. He observed the library and gym developed in Panoh Panchayat and assured administrative support in further developing them.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the works going on under MNREGA and gave necessary guidelines. He also inspected the Panchvati Park and Open Air Gym built in Ransari.
The Deputy Commissioner said that development of basic facilities in villages is our priority. Resources like library and gym not only help in the intellectual and physical development of youth, but also play an important role in overall village development. These also protect the youth from drug addiction. The administration will ensure their expansion and strengthening.
He further said that the district administration will provide financial assistance under the Samarthya program for the upgradation of gyms and libraries. Apart from this, necessary support will also be provided under the Rural Employment Scheme.
On this occasion, representatives of Panoh Panchayat demanded financial assistance for the construction of a community building, on which the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned BDO to prepare an estimate.
During the inspection, BDO K.L. Verma, Panchayat Pradhan Kamlesh Kumar, Rainsari Panchayat Pradhan Balwinder Kaur and other Panchayat representatives were present.
