Nawanshahr- Punjab will soon become a leading state in the field of education due to the sincere efforts of the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. This view was expressed by Lalit Mohan Pathak 'Ballu', Vice President, Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, while inaugurating various development works of primary schools of Hiyala, Bhangal Kalan and Amargarh in Nawanshahr constituency today.

He said that the Punjab Government is committed to further raise the level of education, Punjab Shiksha Kranti Abhiyan will prove beneficial in strengthening the infrastructure of government schools. He said that due to the visionary thinking of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, government schools have been equipped with all the necessary basic facilities. During this, he dedicated the development works done at a cost of Rs 1.40 lakh in Government Primary School Hiyala, Rs 1.40 lakh in Government Primary School Hiyala, Rs 1.40 lakh in Government Primary School Hiyala and Rs 1.40 lakh in Government Primary School Hiyala to the people.
He performed Bhoomi Pujan for the schools to be built at a cost of Rs 7.51 lakh in Bhangal Kalan School and Rs 7.51 lakh in Amargarh School. He said that the Punjab Government has always given priority to education and health sector. He said that the Punjab Government has set an example by increasing the education sector by 12 percent. He said that under the Shiksha Kranti Abhiyan, no stone is being left unturned to make the students of government schools of Punjab leaders in every field.
He also appreciated the cooperation being given by the NRI Punjabis for the betterment of the schools. Motivating the people of the villages, he said that maximum cooperation should be given in the 'Drugs Par War' campaign being run by the state government to end drug abuse so that the youth of Punjab can be brought out of the clutches of drugs. On this occasion, apart from the dignitaries of the respective areas, a large number of students, parents and teachers of the schools of Nawanshahr were present.
