There is no dry path left to pass through the streets. The residents of Ward No. 3 of Maur Kalan village under the Maur Municipal Council are forced to live a hellish life and they have become prisoners in their own homes.
The villagers say that the officials of the Municipal Council are treating the residents of Maur Kalan like a stepmother and no official is paying any attention to the drainage of water. There is 2-2 feet of water standing in the streets, cracks have appeared in the walls of the houses and the roofs of many houses have also fallen.
The arrival of relatives has decreased. They cannot even hold a wedding or any other program. A few days ago, the constituency MLA inaugurated the sewerage pipeline by spending crores of rupees, but due to lack of water drainage, the situation in the village has worsened. The road leading to Gurudwara Sahib is completely submerged in water and there is no road left to go to the Aam Aadmi Clinic on this road.
Doctors coming to the Aam Aadmi Clinic face huge difficulties in coming and going. No road is left dry to bring medicine to the villagers. The villagers have requested the constituency MLA, DC Bathinda, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to solve the issue of water drainage.
