Hoshiarpur- Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain has formed a panel of officers of concerned departments to review the progress of ongoing and potential development projects in the district from time to time.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that various development works related to the Central and State Government are going on in the district and many are going to start in the near future, which will be monitored by the panel constituted by the district administration so that these infrastructure projects can be started on time and completed within the stipulated time. She said that these projects mainly include development works related to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Railways and various departments of the Punjab Government.
She said that a panel has been formed under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner to review these works, which includes concerned SDM, Municipal Corporation Commissioner and officers of concerned departments, who will ensure the progress and follow-up of development works of their respective areas.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that smooth traffic management in the district is the main priority of the administration and the panel will prepare a blueprint for smooth traffic by liaising with various departments. She said that the panel will prepare a blueprint for smooth traffic through Talwara-Mukherian railway line project and railway crossings in the district and take further action. She said that the district administration has also placed the matter of widening Hoshiarpur-Garhshankar road as per the current demand before the Punjab government so that this project can also be started as soon as possible.
She informed that necessary action is also in progress regarding various works related to infrastructure of road network in Tanda area, Hoshiarpur-Garhshankar road, Hoshiarpur-Una road etc. She informed that the constituted panel will ensure review of the process required for these works from time to time.
