20 February Hoshiarpur- Preparations have been completed for the Nature Fest being organized by the Tourism Department of Punjab Government and the District Administration at the local Lajwanti Stadium from 21 to 25 February. Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that Culture and Tourism Minister Tarun Preet Singh Saund will inaugurate the Nature Fest Hoshiarpur on 21 February at 4 pm.
The Deputy Commissioner said that entry of people will be open during the Nature Fest and about 100 stalls will be set up in the stadium, in which various items, artifacts and goods will be displayed. He said that on the first day Punjabi singer Alaap Sikandar and on February 25 Kanwar Grewal will entertain the audience with their singing. The five-day Nature Fest will begin on February 21 with bird watching at Pong Dam.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the district residents to encourage the fest and said that this fest will be very entertaining for the people. He said that apart from night camping in Solis and Tharoli and cyclothon in Lajwanti Stadium, there will also be a children's carnival in Van Chetna Park.
Similarly, India vs Pakistan match will be shown in the stadium on February 23. He said that there will be off-roading in Cooknet, in which necessary arrangements have been made for the convenience of the participants. People will enjoy booting and jungle safari in Nature Retreat located in Chauhal.
Similarly, on the evening of February 25, singer Kanwar Grewal will perform and after this the Nature Fest will conclude. He said that the objective of 'Nature Fest Hoshiarpur' is to make people aware of the immense possibilities of tourism in Hoshiarpur, which is situated in the lap of nature.
