Hoshiarpur- Core Committee Meeting of Punjab State Pensioners Federation (Regd.) was held at Pensioners Bhawan, Ludhiana under the chairmanship of State President Karam Singh Dhanoa. The Chairman Board comprised Senior Advisor Mr. Bakshish Singh Barnala, C. Senior Vice President Javand Singh, Vice President Pyara Singh, Finance Secretary Prem Kumar Aggarwal, Raj Kumar Arora were the keynote speakers. At the beginning of the meeting, two minutes silence was observed to pay tribute to the pensioner colleagues who passed away during the last quarter.

State General Secretary of the Confederation Kulwaran Singh shared information about the organizational activities done in the past and the state organizational elections of the Confederation to be held after two years and appealed to the colleagues present in the meeting to give informed suggestions regarding the elections so that the organizational strength of the organization can be further strengthened by conducting the elections in a systematic manner.
After this, State President Karam Singh Dhanoa gave detailed information about the organisational activities, struggles and state elections done in the past and thanked all the pensioner colleagues of Punjab for showing unity and support during the struggles and appealed to conduct the state elections unanimously.
While releasing the proceedings of the meeting to the press, State Press Secretary Balbir Singh Saini said that while addressing the meeting, Mr. Ajaib Singh Bhanghu Ambala, Bakshis Singh Barnala, Pyara Singh Jalandhar, Jawand Singh Gurdaspur, Rajkumar Arora Sangrur, Gurdeep Singh Walia Patiala, Sukhdev Singh Pannu Amritsar, Ajit Singh Tarn Taran, Manjit Singh Saini Hoshiarpur, Sukhminder Singh Dhillon, Karamjit Sharma Muktsar, Ajaib Singh Sher Mansa, Bakshis Singh Zira, Kuldeep Singh Durka Nawan Shahar, Bhupinder Singh Jassi Sangrur, Jagtar Singh Ansal Tarn Taran, Mahinder Singh Dhaliwal, Nopa Ram Fazilka, R.A.L. Padhi Sangrur, Kewal Krishan Sharma Pathankot, Darshan Lal Tatiyal Jugiyal said that pensioners and employees' organizations have been fighting for their demands for the last three and a half years, but the Mann government of Punjab did not attend the meeting despite repeated meetings to resolve the demands and did not resolve any of the demands. Calling it a cruel joke with the pensioners and employees and disrespect to senior citizens, they strongly condemned this incident of the government.
The speakers said that in Delhi also, the party has suffered a very bad defeat due to the wrong policies of the Aam Aadmi Party against the pensioners / employees. On this occasion, the Punjab government, through a resolution, strongly opposed the recommendation of the Cabinet Committee to pay the 7th Pay Commission and the outstanding installments of the pensioners in installments and demanded that all the arrears of the pensioners be paid in lump sum.
On this occasion, the speakers strongly condemned the non-implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission and not giving full benefits to the pensioners, not implementing the 2.59 coefficient, not implementing the DA installments, not paying the arrears, not giving medical allowance of Rs 2000 per month, not implementing the cashless medical health scheme, not restoring the old pension by the Central and Punjab governments and not implementing the decisions given in favor of the pensioners by various honorable courts.
In the end, State President Karam Singh Dhanoa, while answering the questions raised by the pensioners during the meeting, called upon them to be ready to unite and struggle to achieve their demands. He called upon all the pensioners present to strengthen the organizational unity by conducting the elections to be held on March 17 with unity as before and also thanked all the leaders and members who came in large numbers for the success of the meeting.
