UDAAN 2025: A Pathway to Higher Education and Career Growth

Chandigarh: 20th March, 2025: The Career Development and Guidance Centre of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) Chandigarh, successfully organized the event of knowledge: UDAAN- A Higher Education Initiative 2025 on 20th March, 2025 with a higher focus on career pathways, higher education opportunities and the challenges faced by students in navigating professional world.

Chandigarh: 20th March, 2025: The Career Development and Guidance Centre of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) Chandigarh, successfully organized the event of knowledge: UDAAN- A Higher Education Initiative 2025 on 20th March, 2025 with a higher focus on career pathways, higher education opportunities and the challenges faced by students in navigating professional world. 
The event was graced by dignitaries, including chief guest Retd. Col. Rajiv Bhargava (Executive Coach, in ISB as Senior Associate Director), Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia (Director, PEC), Prof. J.D. Sharma (Head, CDGC), Prof. D.R. Prajapati (DSA), Registrar Col. R.M. Joshi and various faculty members. 
Initially, Prof. J.D. Sharma highlighted the significance of pursuing higher education both in India and abroad. He spoke about the opportunities and challenges that come with advanced academic pursuits, inspiring the students to dream big and work hard. Esteemed Director, Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia welcomed Retd. Col. Rajiv Bhargava and appreciated the CDGC team for their dedication in organizing this event. 
He spoke about the growing scope of higher education in various industries and encouraged the students to adopt a disciplined approach to life, which would serve them well in future endeavors. 
The first session was delivered by Retd. Col. Rajiv Bhargava, who shared his personal insights on how B.Tech  students can navigate their career paths. He emphasized  the importance of domain expertise and introduced the concept of Education 5.0, which focuses on preparing students for an ever-evolving technology driven world. 
The second session featured a dynamic conclave with two distinguished PEC Alumni : Mr. Nikhil Mehta and Ms. Akanksha Gupta. This duo shared insights and expertise of preparing and cracking CAT exam while working. They discussed essential factors and provided valuable advice on the challenges they faced during their journey to secure admissions into top-tier MBA Institutions. 
Thirdly, Mr. Akshit Singhla, PEC alum and an MS Graduate from MIT, shared the importance of choosing the right academic path and pursuing higher education in prestigious institutions abroad. The final session was delivered by Prof. R.S. Pant, who holds a B.Tech degree in Aerospace Engineering from PEC, and has over three decades of experience in research and teaching at IIT Bombay. He provided guidance on various career opportunities available after completing a B.Tech degree. 
This event was a resounding success, offering students invaluable guidance and mentorship to shape their future careers.
