Rajpura, 19-12-2024: During the Kisan Morcha yesterday, a farmer warrior Singh son of Mewa Singh tried to commit suicide by consuming poison and was admitted to Rajindra Hospital, Patiala.
But he died last night during treatment and after post-mortem, he was kept in the mortuary of Rajpura Civil Hospital and today his body is being taken to Shambhu Border by farmer organizations so that other farmers can go there and pay tribute to him. After that his body will be sent to his village Ratan Heri district Ludhiana for last rites.
On this occasion, the family members of the deceased were present and a large number of farmers including the convener of both the forums and leader of the Morcha Sardar Sarwan Singh Bhander paid tribute to the deceased.
