Hoshiarpur- Bharat Vikas Parishad Hoshiarpur organized a seminar against drugs at the De-Addiction Center Fatehgarh under the chairmanship of President and eminent social worker Sanjeev Arora. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Mahima Minhas of the center, welcoming the members of Bharat Vikas Parishad and giving detailed information about the activities of the center.
On this occasion, President Sanjeev Arora said that addiction is a serious disease, but it is treatable. Consuming it destroys a person's life, so one should not consume drugs. Arora told the addicts that your parents have raised you so that you will become their support when you grow up, but you are stuck in the swamp of drugs. Don't think only about yourself but take care of your children and family and give up drugs so that you and your family can live a happy life.
Praising this center, Arora said that religious places have also been made for the patients in the center so that the patients can worship there in the morning and evening. Arora told them that we should bow our heads in the morning and evening and pray to God that He should give us enough strength so that after leaving here we can quit drugs.
On this occasion, Secretary Rajinder Moudgil and Advocate Gaurav Garg said that in today's time we need to be aware of drugs, only if we become aware ourselves, then we will be able to go to the society and make people aware through seminars. They said that drugs are not a habit but a disease which can be treated. The Punjab government provides free treatment to drug addicts.
The government has opened drug de-addiction centers in different districts, where they also get good health facilities. They said that our society also comes here from time to time to make patients aware and new faces are seen here. We hope that when they also leave here, they will give up drugs and live a happy life with their families.
Addressing the seminar, Madam Tajinder Kaur ASI. made the patients aware about drugs and said that whoever takes drugs is playing with his life. Be it opium, chita, synthetic drugs or any drug like vaccination, all these are very dangerous drugs that push a person towards death. In the end, all the present took an oath not to take drugs.
