
Awareness camp on road safety organized at Ravmapa Gondpur Jaichand
Una, January 30- As part of Road Safety Month in Una district, a road safety awareness camp was organized at Government Senior Secondary School Gondpur Jaichand in Haroli Assembly constituency on Thursday. The camp was presided over by Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Una Ashok Kumar.

Ashok Kumar told on this occasion that the road The purpose of celebrating Safety Month is to make people aware of road safety rules so that road accidents can be reduced. He said that violation of road safety rules, speeding and careless overtaking often lead to accidents. He appealed to everyone that we should understand our responsibility and remain alert on the road.
The RTO advised the children to stay away from intoxication and drive with full caution. He also appealed to them to help the people injured in road accidents. While making the children aware about the Good Samaritan scheme, he told that under this scheme, a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 5000 is given to the people who save the life of the injured person by taking him to the hospital within the first hour (golden hour) of the scheme.
In the camp, school children also participated enthusiastically in quiz competition, poster making and speech competitions on road safety rules.
On this occasion, school principal Dilawar Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Davinder Singh, Joginder Patel, Vipan Kang, Sandeep Sandhu along with school staff and other people were present.
