1 March Hoshiarpur- Under the orders of Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur and Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Harbans Kaur, under 'Nasha Mukt Punjab Mission Smile 2.0', people were made aware about the ill effects and treatment of drug addiction by conducting counseling and awareness campaigns through help desks at public places. On this occasion, Counselor Rajwinder Kaur, Counselor Government Rehabilitation Center Hoshiarpur said that this campaign is being run by District Drug De-addiction Rehabilitation Society Hoshiarpur in the entire district from 10-02-2025 to 28-02-2025.
During this campaign, people are to be made aware about the causes and treatment of drug addiction at all public places. Today, the District Drug Detoxification and Rehabilitation Society set up a help desk at Ayushman Arogya Kendra Urban Civil Dispensary Aslamabad Hoshiarpur and informed more than 35 people about the harm caused to health and society by drug addiction. The help desk was set up under the leadership of Dr. Bharti Medical Officer.
On this occasion, Dr. Bharti Medical Officer said that we all need to come together and attack de-addiction. On this occasion, Harish Kumari said that drug addiction is successfully treated at the District Drug Detoxification and Rehabilitation Center Hoshiarpur and patients are motivated to live a healthy life and under the Vocational Skill Program, they are made capable of standing on their own feet by getting them to do food craft, salon, agriculture and other courses. Let us all together run a campaign to make Punjab drug free. With such initiatives, we can save the youth of Punjab.
