Hoshiarpur - Punjab's School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education and Public Relations Minister Harjot Singh Bains will hoist the national flag on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day to be celebrated on January 26 at the local police line. In view of the district level Republic Day, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, while reviewing the arrangements and preparations for the event during a meeting with officials of various departments at the District Administrative Complex here today, said that all the arrangements should be completed within the stipulated time.
He said that rehearsals have been started by school students and employees of other departments, for which proper arrangements should be made in every way. He said that the full dress rehearsal will be held on January 24. He said that keeping in mind the cold weather, there should be no shortage of necessary arrangements for school students during the rehearsal, while paying attention to cleanliness and proper beauty and decoration in the city and police line.
The Deputy Commissioner gave instructions to the police officers regarding security arrangements, Municipal Corporation and other departments regarding their duty. He said that tableaus of Punjab Police, NCC, PRTC, Health Department, Education Department, Municipal Corporation, Agriculture Department, Markfed etc. will be included in the parade and various patriotic presentations will be given by school students. Additional Deputy Commissioner Rahul Chaba, SDM Sanjeev Sharma and officers of various departments were present on this occasion.
