
Three-day training completed
Hoshiarpur- On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, a three-day training program was organized by Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration for the employees of various departments of the district on budget and audit. Giving information in this regard, Regional Project Director, Jalandhar Pirthi Singh PC S (Retd.) said that more than 40 employees participated in this training program. He said that in this training program, preparation of budget, proper utilization of government funds, supplementary demands, access and surrender, re-appropriation, powers and responsibilities of DDO were discussed in detail.

In this program, the preventive steps to avoid audit objections raised due to financial irregularities and preparation of appropriate response to objections were emphasized. Sessions were held on compliance of purchase and sale rules by departments in the district, Government Employees Conduct Rules and Penalty and Appeal Rules 1970. Deputy Controller Finance and Accounts Rakesh Kumar Chadha shared detailed information on budget preparation and budget expenditure, LTC holidays, DDO powers, financial rules, store stock, Punjab Procurement and more so that the employees do not have to face any problem in the future.
Superintendent Surjit Singh Saini shared information on Employee Conduct Rules 1966 and Punjab Penalty and Appeal Rules 1970. Finally, certificates were also given to the officers of various departments who had completed the training. While giving feedback, the employees expressed their gratitude to MGSIPA and Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur for the benefits they received from the training programs of this program. On this occasion, Superintendent Dred-1 Balkar Singh from the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Deepak from the District Public Relations Office and other officers and employees were present.
