Nawanshahr- District Magistrate Ankurjit Singh today issued orders under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Act to ban leaving cows/cattle helpless at any place in the district. According to the orders issued by the District Magistrate, if any person violates these orders, strict action will be taken against him as per the law.
These orders will remain in force till 08 January 2026. It is noteworthy that recently in the village Bhan Mazara of the district, some unknown persons had left helpless cows/cattle in a dry canal, which the district administration had to work hard to get out safely.
According to the orders, leaving cows helpless in this way can hurt the religious sentiments of the people and due to loss of life and property, a law and order situation can also arise. Leaving animals helpless can also cause road accidents, so animals should not be left helpless.
