Hoshiarpur: On the directions of District and Sessions Judge-cum- Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Dilbagh Singh Johal, Human Rights Day was celebrated at the Central Jail by CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawal.
On this occasion, Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel Vishal Kumar and Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel Rupika Thakur enlightened the inmates/prisoners about human rights. During this, they said that human rights are basically those rights which tell every person the duty of being a human being. Human rights basically give the right to live life with freedom and personal security and give equality to everyone in the country.
The United Nations General Assembly has been established to investigate the abuse of human rights. Jail Superintendent Bhupinder Singh Ghuman, Deputy Superintendent Harbhajan Singh and all the staff were also present on this occasion.
