Hoshiarpur: Municipal Commissioner Hoshiarpur Dr. Amandeep Kaur today took strict action against the violation of rules during the construction of buildings in the city. During this, a total of 18 places were inspected by the commissioner's team.
During the inspection, serious violations of rules were found in two buildings, due to which these buildings were immediately sealed. Notices have been issued in respect of the remaining 16 buildings on the basis of initial inspection. 
Dr. Amandeep Kaur has directed the concerned building inspectors and Master Town Planner (MTP) to submit a detailed report of these buildings by tomorrow. She said that ensuring compliance with the rules during the construction of buildings is the priority of the Municipal Corporation, so that the development of the city can be done in a planned manner and the safety of the citizens is ensured. 
The commissioner clarified on this occasion that such checking will be continued regularly in the future as well. He said that the Municipal Corporation will adopt a zero tolerance policy for violation of rules. The Commissioner Municipal Corporation has appealed to the city residents to follow the rules and procedures laid down by the Corporation during the construction of buildings. If any kind of violation of rules is found, strict action will be taken against the concerned persons.
