
United Kisan Morcha and Iftu celebrate Anti-Corporate Day
Nawanshahr: The United Kisan Morcha and the Indian Federation of Trade Unions (IFTU) celebrated Anti-Corporate Day on the fourth anniversary of the Kisan Ghol against the three black agricultural laws of the Modi government. Kirti Kisan Union district president Surinder Singh Bains, state committee member Bhupinder Singh Waraich, women wing district president Surjit Kaur Uttal, Rashtriya Kisan Union leader Nirmal Singh, Bhartiya Kisan Union (Lakhowal) state general secretary Ranjit Singh Ratenda, Kisan Union (Rajewal) Gurmukh Singh Ball, BKU (Qadis) leader Sukhwinder Singh Ballowal, IFTU state president Kulwinder Singh Waraich, state joint secretary Avtar Singh Tari, state press secretary IFTU Jasbir Deep, New Auto Union district president Puneet Bachhouri, Rehri Workers Union leader Harilal, Jugadu Rehra Union president Nikku James Masih, Bir Bahadur, migrant labour union leaders Shiv Nandan and Om Prakash, farmer leader Paramjit Singh Shahabpur addressed the gathering.
They demanded legal implementation of MSP for all crops; repeal of four labour codes; abolition of outsourcing and contracting system; ensuring employment for all; complete loan waiver of farmers; They demanded to stop indiscriminate land acquisition; 200 days of work a year and Rs. 600 per day under MNREGA; Rs. 10,000 monthly pension at the age of 60; repeal of pro-corporate and communal policies; end violence against women and children; give farmers the moisture deduction imposed at the time of paddy purchase; cancel the licenses of the harvesters; take action against the sheller owners who loot the farmers. Later, after a demonstration in the city, a memorandum of demands was handed over to the district administration in the name of the President of the country.
