Hoshiarpur: Today, a meeting of the farmers and trade union organizations of Hoshiarpur, which are part of the United Kisan Morcha, was held at Shaheed Channan Singh Dhoot Bhawan Hoshiarpur under the chairmanship of Sathi Darshan Singh Mattu.
In which Gurnek Singh Bhajjal, Darshan Singh Mattu, Gurmesh Singh and Balwinder Singh from the All India Kisan Sabha; Sukhdev Singh Kahri and Balwinder Singh Kahri from the Kisan Committee Doaba; Bhupinder Singh Bhunga from the Kirti Kisan Union; Ganga Prasad from the CTU and Davinder Singh Kakko from the Jamhuri Kisan Sabha participated. In the meeting, it was decided that the three agricultural black laws passed by the Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party government should be withdrawn; and regarding the demand for a law to guarantee MSP; The United Kisan Morcha will celebrate the fourth anniversary of the DAP fertilizer scam on November 26, 2020, by staging a sit-in in front of DC offices across the country on November 26, 2024. In the meeting, the members condemned the delay in the lifting of paddy by the Central and Punjab governments and the inconvenience caused to farmers in the markets.
It was demanded that the money for illegal cuts in paddy should be given to the farmers. They also demanded from the Punjab government that the sugarcane mills should be started immediately. The farmers' sugarcane money should be given along with it and the remaining balance should be paid immediately. The leaders said that the scam in DAP fertilizer should be investigated and the culprits should be punished. And the farmers should be provided with fertilizer according to their needs and the forced feeding of excess products with fertilizer should be stopped.
