
Haryana has setup Future Department
Chandigarh, July 17 - The Haryana government has set up the Future Department with the aim of implementing Vision 2047 through AI and skill development. This department will regularly conduct horizon scanning, trend analysis and scenario development to identify the potential challenges and opportunities facing the state in the future. It will also formulate comprehensive long-term strategies focused on diversification of development in high value sectors under Vision-2047.

This department will regularly conduct horizon scanning, trend analysis and scenario development to identify the potential challenges and opportunities facing the state in the future. It will also formulate comprehensive long-term strategies focused on diversification of development in high value sectors under Vision-2047.
Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi has issued a notification of the Haryana Government Works (Allotment) Rules, 2025. This department will also look after Mission Haryana-2047 to increase the state's Gross Domestic Product to the level of 1 trillion US dollars and meet the employment targets in the state.
In addition, it will develop and coordinate technology and innovation policies towards the adoption of emerging technologies in various sectors. It will monitor and coordinate governance modernization initiatives including digital transformation of administrative processes. It will also coordinate with administrative departments for the implementation of forward-looking policies and initiatives.
The department will establish an integrated framework for human capital development in line with future workforce needs. It will develop strategies, particularly under the sustainable management of water, energy and agricultural resources. It will create a monitoring system to assess the progress of strategic initiatives across departments. It will also develop a migration management plan for the state, along with developing rural-urban integration.
