Garhshankar: A general body meeting was held here by the Bharatiya Janavadi Naujawan Sabha DYFI under the chairmanship of Jaspreet Singh Jassi Bhajjal, Balram Singh Dangori and Gaurav Kumar Baddowal.
Addressing the gathering of the youth, the State Secretary of Bharatiya Janavadi Naujawan Sabha (DYFI) Punjab, Sukhwinder Singh Nagi said that the youth should build a large unity and struggle to get their demands accepted by the current governments. He said that the governments of different times have always betrayed the youth, ignored the demands of the youth and, under a well-thought-out conspiracy, have led them on the lines of terrorism, separatism, communalism, casteism and have also made them drug addicts and gangsters.
He said that the youth should take guidance from the farmers' movement and jump into the struggle for their rights, victory will definitely be achieved. In his address, he explained the history, goals and objectives of the organization and called for the formation of DYFI units in villages and cities in Tehsil Garhshankar and organizing village and city sports tournaments and other constructive programs.
In this meeting, former state vice president of DYFI, Gurnek Singh Bhajjal, also addressed the meeting and assured all possible support to the youth in building the organization.
Meanwhile, a 9-member ad hoc committee was formed to conduct the work of the organization in Tehsil Garhshankar, in which Balram Singh Dangori was elected as the convener of Tehsil Garhshankar by keeping three seats vacant and Jaspreet Singh Jassi Bhajjal, Gaurav Kumar Badowal, Gurdeep Singh Deep Kot, Pankaj Mahindwani, and Barinder Badowal were elected members in the Tehsil Committee. Finally, Gaurav Kumar Badowal, on behalf of the Presidium, thanked the youth who attended the meeting.
