Hoshiarpur - District Employment and Business Bureau and Model Career Center conducted mass counseling programs for students of class X, XI and XII regarding their future careers at Government Senior Secondary School Patial Makkowal; and Government Senior Secondary School, Mansurpur (Mukerian).
District Employment Officer Ramandeep Kaur informed that during the counseling program, the students were told about the importance of the Employment Bureau. She said that Placement Officer Rakesh Kamwar gave information to the students about various streams of education, ITI courses, diploma and degree courses, job opportunities provided by the Placement Cell, free internet facility provided by the Employment Bureau, information about self-employment schemes, short-term technical courses, detailed information.
Apart from this, information was also given about government and banking sector jobs. On this occasion, Young Professional Vikram Singh gave detailed information about government services on the National Career Services Portal to the students; told the students about how to recruit private jobs sitting at home by downloading the mobile app of the Employment Office DBEE online through Google Play Store; and about getting information about government jobs. The students were asked to make their own planning regarding their future career from now on; and if any problem arises, they were asked to contact the Employment Bureau.
In this session, representatives from various institutions of the district such as District Industrial Center, Food Craft Institute, RSETI, Polytechnic College, District Education Officer, District Lead Bank and Government ITI informed the children about various streams of education such as ITI courses, Hotel Management Diploma, Polytechnic Diploma and self-employment schemes. During this mass counseling program, all the staff of the 6 schools concerned and about 240 students participated in this program with great enthusiasm.
