District Legal Services Authority provides training to paralegal volunteers

The objective of the three-day training program of the para legal volunteers is to provide quality legal services, promote legal literacy, attend legal services camps. CJM Raj Pal Rawal interacted with the volunteers and also informed them about the Mediation Center, PLA (PUS), LADS, NALSA schemes and the National Lok Adalat to be held on December 14.
These volunteers, empanelled by the selection committee headed by the Sessions Judge of the District Legal Services Authority, will provide free legal aid to any person in need or desirous of seeking legal aid under Section 12 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. The Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority also informed about the special campaign ‘Your Journey, Your Life, Your Responsibility’ started from October 1st, safe driving and stay safe.
This campaign will continue till December 31, 2024. Para-legal volunteers were also invited to distribute stickers, pamphlets to further publicize the legal services scheme and toll-free number 15100. The staff of the District Legal Services Authority and panel advocate Renu also trained the para-legal volunteers on criminal and civil laws as well as laws related to women and children.
