License of Gaghga fertilizer seller cancelled

Patiala, November 9 - With the aim of protecting farmers from financial exploitation, during the checking being done by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav to ensure smooth and adequate availability of DAP and other fertilizers Mess: Sharda Agro Chemicals, Ghagga's license has been revoked for keeping stock of fertilizers without approval.

Patiala, November 9 - With the aim of protecting farmers from financial exploitation, during the checking being done by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav to ensure smooth and adequate availability of DAP and other fertilizers Mess: Sharda Agro Chemicals, Ghagga's license has been revoked for keeping stock of fertilizers without approval.
Giving information in this regard, Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Jaswinder Singh said that according to the orders of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav, the stock of all the fertilizer sellers in the district is being checked. And meanwhile, when the records of M/s Sharda Agro Chemicals Ghagga were checked, the firm did not conduct the audit of the fertilizer it had in its fertilizer license. And during the checking of the shop and warehouse, it was found that the firm had stored large quantities of urea fertilizer and some other fertilizers without making additions.
The Chief Agriculture Officer said that the sale of the firm has been stopped immediately and the license of the firm has been canceled by taking action against the firm for violating the conditions of the fertilizer license and Section 8 of the Fertilizer Control Order 1985. Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav made it clear that no one will be allowed to exploit farmers and strict legal action will be taken against those involved in illegal business.
