Giving this information, SDM Derabassi Amit Gupta said that under 'CM Yogashala', 49 yoga classes in Zirakpur and 25 in Derabassi are trying to make the common people health conscious. He said that regular expert yoga instructors have been provided by the Punjab Government for the yoga classes. A group of 25 sadhaks at any new place can avail the services of a yoga instructor through just one phone call by contacting the phone number 76694-00500, for which no fee is charged by the Punjab government.
Apart from this, information can also be obtained by visiting the website cmdiyogshala.punjab.gov.in. Trainer Ranju Saini, who conducts yoga classes in Derabassi under 'CM Ki Yogashala', said that she is conducting 6 yoga sessions every day. She conducts two morning classes at Saini Dharamshala Derabassi, in which the first yoga class is from 7:00 am to 8:00 am and the second yoga class is from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The third class is held at Gurdwara Nihalgarh Bunga Village Saidpur, Derabassi from 2:50 pm to 3:50 pm. The fourth yoga class is held at Gulabgarh Park Derabassi from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm and the fifth class is held at Chandigarh Apartment Derabassi from 5:05 pm to 6:05 pm. The sixth and last class is held at Saini Dharamshala, Village Rampur Saini from 6:40 pm to 7:40 pm.
Ranju further said that the timing of the yoga sessions has been kept flexible as per the convenience of the people so that the instructor can be called as per the time that suits their batch. She said that on an average an instructor conducts at least five yoga sessions a day. According to Ranju Saini, instructor of yoga classes in Derabassi, yoga practice is not only a physical exercise but also an effective way to correct our bad lifestyle. Regular yoga practice not only improves physical health but also ensures our mental health.

He also informed that husband and wife Gurcharan Singh and Narinder Kaur, who practice yoga at Gulabgarh Park in Derabassi and have been attending yoga classes regularly since December 2023, were suffering from shoulder pain after the corona pandemic during the corona virus, now she is completely fine. Apart from this, Narinder Kaur was also suffering from knee pain which is now getting better. Apart from this, Dhaniram, who practices yoga in the same park, was unable to speak properly due to paralysis, but now he has started speaking clearly due to yoga practice.
Participant Swarn Lata, practicing yoga at Gurdwara Nihalgarh Bunga in Saidpur village of Derabassi, got relief from thyroid and Neetu Rana from cervical. According to Ranju Saini, the subtle movements and postures in yoga classes are successful in relieving people from all walks of life from chronic diseases like joint pain, diabetes, thyroid and high blood pressure.
