Chandigarh: Ayurveda Day and Dhanvantari Day were organized on 29 October at Municipal Bhawan, Sector 35. On this occasion, Chief Guest Dr Balbir Singh said that Ayurveda is the art of living, our government is committed to promote Ayurveda at Mohalla Clinics as well as Wellness Centers. I myself am an allopathy doctor but I have also adopted Ayurveda for the last 40 years.

On Tuesday, the 9th National Ayurveda Day and Dhanvantari Day 2024 was celebrated by the Directorate of Ayurveda Punjab on the occasion of Lord Dhanvantari Jayanti. On this occasion, Dr Balbir Singh, Health Minister Punjab attended as the chief guest and he honored Dr Vivek Ahuja and Dr Deepam Batta with Dhanvantari Award for their services in the world of Ayurveda. On this occasion, Dr Sanjeev Goyal, Registrar Board of Ayurveda, Punjab told That the theme of this year's National Ayurveda Day is "Ayurveda Innovation for Global Health" through which they want to encourage the importance of innovation to make Ayurveda world famous.
Dr. Shailendra Bhardwaj, NIMA Press Secretary told that on this occasion Dr. Anil Bhardwaj, Vice Chairman, Dr. Ravi Doomra, Director and Dr. Meenu Gandhi, President congratulated the honored doctors and advised them to keep working towards taking Ayurveda to greater heights and more than 200 doctors participated in the program and celebrated Dhanvantri Jayanti by worshipping Lord Dhanvantri.
