Conducted an awareness workshop on drug addiction and its treatment at Punjab Agricultural Export Corporation Limited Jahan Khel

Hoshiarpur - As per the orders of Mrs. Komal Mittal IAS Deputy Commissioner cum Chairperson District Addiction Rehabilitation Society Hoshiarpur and under the guidance of Dr. Harbans Kaur DMC Hoshiarpur, an awareness workshop was organized at Punjab Agriculture Export Corporation Limited Jahan Khelan Hoshiarpur (Punjab Government Institution) about the ill effects of drug abuse and its treatment in the presence of Plant Head Baljinder Singh.

In which Nisha Rani Manager, Prashant Adia Kausler, Sandeep Pal Staff from District De-addiction Rehabilitation Center Hoshiarpur were present as the keynote speakers.
On this occasion, Manager Nisha Rani gave detailed information about the short-term and long-term effects of drug abuse. Prashant Adia said in his address that youth power is the foundation of any nation and contributes significantly to the development of society and the country.
Therefore, it is very important that the youth join the Drug Free India campaign in large numbers and accept the challenge under the Drug Free India campaign and pledge that I will live a drug-free life. Therefore, we all should cooperate in making our district, state and country drug free. He said that according to the World Health Organization, drug addiction is a recurrent, long-lasting mental illness whose treatment is provided free of cost by the Health Department of Punjab. If a drug addict is misguided, then instead of hating or making fun of him, he should be brought back on the right path by explaining with love.
