Mahilpur, October 26 - Gram Panchayat Mugowal thanked the Almighty God and the people for the formation of the new Panchayat and sought the blessings of the villagers for the future, a Paath of Sri Sukhmani Sahib was organized at Gurdwara Sahib of village Mugowal. After the Paath, the Dhadi Jatha introduced the Sangat to the glorious history of the Sikh community and connected them with the ideology of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Jai Krishan Singh Rowdy Deputy Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha was specially present at the function.

He congratulated Sarpanch Bhupinder Singh and the newly elected Panchayat and said that he would help in every possible way for the development of the village. On this occasion, Professor Apinder Singh Mahalpuri, Coordinator of Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle shared a religious discourse with the Sangat and said that we should always try to teach morality and virtue to small children and youth. On this occasion Sardar Bhupinder Singh Sarpanch thanked all the people who attended the function and all the residents of the town and assured them to do their work without any discrimination and give their valuable contribution in the development of the village.
On this occasion, wife of Sarpanch Sardar Bhupinder Singh Sangha, Mrs. Amarjit Kaur Dharam, his niece Surdeep Kaur, Sardar Sukhwinder Singh former Sarpanch, Narinder Mohan Nindi former Sarpanch, Kulwinder Kaur former Sarpanch, Lambardar Satnam Singh, Mahendra Singh, Raghveer Singh, newly elected Panch Karamjit Singh Babbu, Harmanjot Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Satnam Singh, Labor Singh, Rashpal Singh, Lakhbir Singh, Jasveer Singh Sangha, Mohanlal Patial were present in large numbers.
 On this occasion, Mrs. Surinder Kaur was specially honored, who had earlier also contributed lakhs of rupees for building rooms in the village school and installing interlock in the village's Firni. On this occasion, Guru ka Langar continued uninterrupted. The villagers present at the ceremony congratulated the newly elected Sarpanch Sardar Bhupinder Singh and the Panchayat members.
