A delegation of Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha met the Regional Director Open School, Chandigarh

Chandigarh- Today a delegation of Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh, led by the president of the organization Prince Bahadur Singh Ghasal met Mr. S. Mahendran (Regional Director, NIOS, Chandigarh). The meeting took place at his office in Sector-11, Chandigarh. Apart from Prince Bahadur Singh Ghassal, the delegation included Jagtar Singh Jag Senior Vice President, State Coordinator Jaspal Singh Kanwal, Dara Singh Sidhu (Vice President) and Advisor Balwinder Singh.

The delegation first presented to Mr. S. Mahendran ji the 100th book composed by Prince Gassal, including "Unique Education Projects," "My Selected Essays," "Heritage Mansions," "Let's Sing" and many children's songs. Books were included.
The delegation demanded from the Regional Director Open School to launch a large-scale campaign for the promotion of Punjabi in Punjab, so that the children of Punjab can get maximum benefit from this open education system of the government. This campaign should be spread in all the districts of Punjab and more efforts should be made to increase the number of children in NIOS centers. So that more and more children can join education. He also said that books should be given to the children associated with open schools in Punjab only in Punjabi, so that rural and poor children can benefit from this system.
Mr. S. Mahendran told the delegation that books for class 10 have been prepared in Punjabi and now books for class 12 are being prepared in Punjabi, which will be ready soon. He also supported the promotion of Open School in Punjab in Punjabi and said that the promotion will be increased so that the children of Punjab can get maximum benefit from this system.
Mr. S. Mahendran thanked the delegation for presenting the books written by Prince Bahadur Singh Ghassal and congratulated him for 104 books written by Prince Ghassal. The delegation assured the Regional Director of all support for the promotion and dissemination of Punjabi in Punjab.
