Government Mahindra College won the district level reel making competition

Patiala, October 5 - Assistant Director Youth Services Patiala Dr. Dilwar Singh said that the reel making competition of all the Red Ribbon Clubs running in the district regarding HIV awareness was organized at the Government State College of Education, Patiala. In which the members of Red Ribbon Clubs of different colleges participated.

In which the members of Red Ribbon Clubs of different colleges participated.
He said that the main purpose of this reel making competition is to create awareness about HIV/AIDS by discovering the talent of the youth and convey a clear message to the common people using social media platforms. Dr. Singh said that four subjects were given for this reel making competition In which there was a 1097 toll free number on HIV testing, HIV causes, discrimination against AIDS sufferers in the society and benefits of NACO app. The students of Red Ribbon Clubs have prepared reels showing their talent on these topics And participated in this district level competition and got first, second and third place.
 Dr. Dilwar Singh said that the first, second and third place teams have been awarded cash prizes of 4 thousand, 3 thousand and 2 thousand rupees respectively. In this competition, Government Mahindra College Patiala won first place, Government College Girls Patiala got second place and Government Ayurvedic College Patiala got third place. On this occasion, the principal of the college, Dr. Dapinder Kaur, said that they can play an important role in removing the epidemics and injustices spread in the society by becoming peers of the present time. On this occasion Dr. Preeti Bhatia and Dr. Rekha Sharma, nodal officers of the college's Red Ribbon Club, were also honored.
