We can make our lives better with their experiences. He was speaking at a district level program organized at Bachat Bhawan in Una on Thursday on the occasion of International Senior Citizens Day.

We can make our lives better with their experiences. He was speaking at a district level program organized at Bachat Bhawan in Una on Thursday on the occasion of International Senior Citizens Day.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers to treat senior citizens well in government offices and ensure that their work is resolved on priority. He also stressed on strengthening special facilities for the elderly in hospitals.
He said that even at this stage of age, the elderly are making important contributions to the development of society and the country with their experiences. The blessings and guidance of the elderly are paramount to move ahead in life. International Day of Older Persons is celebrated every year on 1 October in their honour, which strengthens the feeling of respect and honour towards the elderly in the society.
Jatin Lal said that the state government has launched several schemes related to the care, health and social security of the elderly. As per the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the administration is making every possible effort to improve the lives of the elderly and provide them all kinds of facilities.
During the program, the Deputy Commissioner honored senior citizens above the age of 80 years. On this occasion, the senior citizens presented their various demands before the Deputy Commissioner, on which he assured appropriate action.
District Welfare Officer Anita Sharma, District Program Officer Narendra Kumar, District President of Senior Citizens Association G.R. Verma, President of Human Rights Protection Cell and Welfare Association Suresh Airy along with other officers, representatives of institutions and senior citizens were present in the program.
