Una, September 18 - Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal honoured star para athlete Nishad Kumar, who won silver medal in high jump competition at Paris Paralympics 2024, by presenting him a shawl, cap and memento. He hosted Nishad and his family in his office on Wednesday, congratulated them and said that Nishad's achievement has brought laurels not only to Una but to the entire state.
Una, September 18 - Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal honoured star para athlete Nishad Kumar, who won silver medal in high jump competition at Paris Paralympics 2024, by presenting him a shawl, cap and memento. He hosted Nishad and his family in his office on Wednesday, congratulated them and said that Nishad's achievement has brought laurels not only to Una but to the entire state. The Deputy Commissioner also expressed hope that Nishad will once again bring glory to the country by winning a gold medal in the upcoming Paralympics.
Let us tell you, 25-year-old Nishad Kumar is a resident of Badaun village of Gram Panchayat Andaura of Amb tehsil of Una district.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal discussed the preparations made by Nishad Kumar to win a medal in Paris Paralympics 2024 and appreciated his hard work and determination. He said that Nishad Kumar is a great inspiration for the players interested in sports, and inspired by him, the younger generation will be attracted towards sports. Also, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized on the youth to participate in sports along with studies, so that they can bring laurels to the district and the country by staying physically and mentally healthy.
