
TRC XI beat SP XI by 30 runs

Superintendent of Police Una Rakesh Singh, ASP Sanjeev Bhatia and DSP Ajay Thakur were also present on this occasion.

A total of 16 teams participated in this cricket competition, and the final match was played between TRC XI and SP XI. TRC XI won by 30 runs. SP XI won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, TRC XI scored 135 runs losing 10 wickets in 20 overs. From this team's side Anku scored 41 and Vishal scored 28 runs. Chasing the target of 135 runs, SP XI's team was all out at 105 runs in 18.3 overs. Vivek of TRC XI took the maximum of 5 wickets, whereas Rajbir of SP XI took 4 wickets.
Speaking at the function, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that the purpose of such sports events is not just entertainment, but it is an excellent medium to keep the policemen physically and mentally healthy, and to promote teamwork and discipline. Such events organised by the police department promote collective spirit and dedication among the policemen, which is reflected in their service as well.
