
SBI distributes sanitary pad incinerators and kits at Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary Model School, Hoshiarpur
Hoshiarpur- Continuing its commitment towards social welfare and women empowerment, State Bank of India (SBI) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme provided sanitary pad incinerators and sanitary pad kits at Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary Model School, Mall Road, Hoshiarpur. The initiative aims to create awareness among adolescent girls about menstrual hygiene, ensure their dignity and provide a safe and healthy environment.
Hoshiarpur- Continuing its commitment towards social welfare and women empowerment, State Bank of India (SBI) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme provided sanitary pad incinerators and sanitary pad kits at Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary Model School, Mall Road, Hoshiarpur. The initiative aims to create awareness among adolescent girls about menstrual hygiene, ensure their dignity and provide a safe and healthy environment.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Mr. Kundan Kumar, Regional Manager, RBO-2 Hoshiarpur and in collaboration with Mr. Prem Vishwas Mangla, Manager Human Resources, RBO-2 Hoshiarpur. Both the officials stressed on the bank’s social responsibility and the need to spread awareness about important health issues.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kundan Kumar said, “SBI has always believed in inclusive development. Such initiatives not only fulfill the basic needs of the girl students but also try to boost their confidence by removing the misconceptions related to menstruation.”
Sharing his views, Mr. Prem Vishwas Mangala said, “The aim of providing sanitary pad incinerators and sanitary kits is to provide cleanliness, safety and a better study environment to the girl students, so that they do not feel any kind of hesitation or inconvenience.”
Anurag Sood, President, Vidya Mandir Sansthan (Registered), Hoshiarpur, thanked State Bank of India. On this occasion, Virendra Kumar Sharma (Branch Manager), Prof. Najam Riar (Director, Future Ready Institute), Manisha Joshi, Vijay Kanwar, Yash Karan Singh (Manawata Welfare Society) and other dignitaries were present.
