Congress leaders came out in support of Sanjeev Sharma Kalu, took out a protest march

Patiala, December 19- On the last day of campaigning for the municipal elections in Patiala, a large group of Congress party representatives led by Youth Congress leader Barinder Singh Dhillon took out a protest march from a private hotel to the house of Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr. Balbir Singh on Pasi Road, carrying placards in their hands. Placards with slogans were hung around the minister's house and at the main gate.

It is worth mentioning that Neha, wife of Patiala Congress District President Sanjeev Sharma Kalu, is contesting the municipal elections from Ward No. 22. Recently, a case was registered against Sanjeev Sharma Kalu under various sections at Tripuri police station and he has been kept on police remand till December 21.
A large number of Congress party workers and supporters of Sanjeev Sharma, women wing leader and Haryana's Olympian wrestler Bajrang Punia as well as Youth Congress leader Barinder Singh Dhillon, Punjab Mahila Congress President Gursharan Kaur Randhawa, Udvir Singh Dhillon, Punjab Mahila Congress Vice President Harneet Kaur Brar also attended this protest and while talking to the media, they accused the government of implicating and arresting Sanjeev Sharma Kalu in an alleged false case and harassing his family.
They said that Congress leaders and workers will continue to raise their voice against hooliganism. If any hooliganism is done by the police or miscreants on the day of voting on December 21, then it will be strongly opposed.
