Una, July 26- Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal on Friday visited the office of the District Sainik Welfare Department and the CSD Canteen. During his visit, he inspected the office area and Sainik Rest House and took stock of the facilities being provided to ex-servicemen. His visit was dedicated to the administration's commitment towards improving the facilities of ex-servicemen and meeting their needs.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the administration is committed to the convenience and welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. He directed to create a suitable venue for organizing conferences and meetings for ex-servicemen in the District Sainik Welfare Office. He also directed to expand the existing car shed and community area.
The Deputy Commissioner directed to shift the AFD Clerk's desk to the lower floor to facilitate easy access of the ex-servicemen so as to address the problem faced by ex-servicemen in climbing office stairs for official work.
During this time, Deputy Director of Sainik Welfare Department, Colonel SK Kalia was with him.
