After withdrawal of nomination by two candidates, a total of 5 candidates are in the fray to become MLA from Gagret. These include Manohar Lal, age 44 years, son Mulakh Raj, village and post office Dangoh Khas, Tehsil Ghanari, district Una, independent candidate, Rakesh Kalia, age 55 years, son Madan Lal, village and post office Bhanjal, Shankar Nagar, tehsil Ghanari, district. Una has fielded Indian National Congress candidate, Ashok Sonkhala, aged 37 years, son of Param Jeet Singh, village and post office Amboa, Tehsil Ghanari, District Una has fielded independent candidate, Amit Vashisht, aged 46 years, son of Dev Pal Vashisht, village and post office Oil, Tehsil Ghanari, District Una, Independent candidate, and Chautanya Sharma, aged 29 years, son of Rakesh Sharma, Village Abhaypur, Tehsil Ghanari, District Una, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate.
